Purchasing questions
What exactly does "perpetual updates" mean?
Your licence does not expire. Even if we later charge for a major upgrade, existing customers keep their update rights — a promise of perpetual is perpetual, and new rules apply only to new customers.
Are seats counted per person or per machine?
Per machine. A licence activates on N machines and we do not care who sits at them. Moving to a new machine is a self-service deactivation in your account.
Can I use the source in my own product?
Yes. The source licence lets you ship it inside your own product commercially. What it forbids is reselling or redistributing the source itself, and open-sourcing it.
How soon do I get everything after paying?
The licence email is automatic and usually arrives within a minute. The repository invite goes out as soon as you bind your Git account. If nothing has arrived in ten minutes, check spam or claim the order by number.
Which payment methods do you take?
Internationally, card and PayPal through our Merchant of Record, which also handles VAT/GST and issues the invoice. In mainland China, WeChat Pay and Alipay through a payment service provider; fapiao issuing is still being set up and is not available yet, so please contact us first if you need one.
Can I try before buying?
The free edition is the trial and it never expires. Running the first lab before deciding is the order we would prefer anyway.
